My summer was for the most part uneventful. I spent a lot of time hanging out or texting with friends, reading, or watching Minecraft streamers. On my birthday I went with mentioned friend to the Long Beach Aquarium, and we ended up standing under a fountain and getting drenched. For a week I had a job as an assistant for a fiction writing conference. I also went to Yosemite for a week with my parents. Additionally, I also had a few friends over for a "hair day" a few weeks before school started. Academics-wise I took economics and US government over the summer, along with doing a week long game programing course.

For this PLTW year I'm most excited for lots of group work activities and the ability to strengthen my connections with those with similar interests. I'm also quite interested in the potential opportunities I could get through the program. For the next school year in general I'm quite excited to have a chance to reconnect with friends and have some good moments with my current friends before we all go to college and inevitably barely talk or entirely lose contact.
